East Side of Providence

Take a walk on Blackstone Blvd. Explore the beautiful houses surrounding the area and examine the flowers in bloom. Grab an ice cream at Three Sisters (all of their ice cream is handmade, and the milk is locally sourced!).

Be sure to check out some of the cute stores the area offers, including Frog and Toad, where you can source a gift for anyone and everyone; J Marcel, a women’s clothing boutique; or Henry Bear’s Park, the best local toy store.

For dinner and drinks, head to Diego’s for some of the best Mexican. Head to Mare Rooftop if you’re up for a pre-dinner drink or even a nightcap.

The twinkly lights and gorgeous views are all that you’ll need for a romantic date on the East Side.

If it’s a beautiful day, grab coffee at Sweet Althea’s in Wakefield before taking a stroll (or bike) on the South County Bike. It’s primarily flat and stretches for 7.8 miles in total.

Beer lovers should consider spending the afternoon at Whalers Brewery in South Kingstown, where they can enjoy some delicious takeout from Jayd Bun (the most authentic Chinese food sandwiched between NYC and Boston).

For dinner and drinks with a view, there’s nothing better than Matunuck Oyster House (pro tip: they book reservations 21 days out, and you’ll need one!). Coast Guard House is another unbelievable choice, and you can even grab drinks at the newly opened Celeste if you snag a later reservation. The ocean breeze will leave you feeling refreshed and
