Join the Ocean State Montessori School community for our annual Fall Open House, which kicks off admissions for the 2021-2022 school year. This year’s Fall Open House will be held virtually on Saturday, November 21st at 9am. The playground in Slater Park is a lot of fun for kids of all ages. They have two large spiderweb climbers, a play structure suitable for older children as well as a section for young children/toddlers. There are swings, slides & right outside the gate is a large elephant statue. There is plenty of free parking, and Daggett Farm is practically right next to the playground. Within Daggett Farm there are ride on toys for kids to play with and animals to look at. Be aware that Daggett has very limited shade. Bring sunscreen and know that it gets hot! There is also lots to explore within Slater Park itself.
Located amid 40 acres of beautiful woodlands, Roger Williams Park Zoo provides visitors the opportunity to see animals from all over the globe – some more than a million years old. Naturalistic surroundings are home to more than 150 animals including a Komodo dragon, as well as zebras, red pandas, African elephants, Masai giraffes, snow leopards, bears, anteaters, flamingoes, sloths, alligators and more!
