Kaleidoscope Theatre is a professional touring theatre company based in Cranston, Rhode Island. We are primarily a children’s theatre company providing educational performances to schools and fairy tale musicals to theaters throughout southern New England and beyond.
Blue Door Studio has been offering art classes to students of all ages for the past 10 years. Claudia Venditto (RISD MAT 1995) studio owner and director also has 20 yrs+ teaching experience in the Cranston Public School System. At Blue Door Studio we offer a sequential based art program for students of all levels (ages two to adult). We teach life long art skills that our students develop from the moment they walk through our Blue Door! Our learning environment is positive, enjoyable and educational. We excel at progressing our students’ development as artists. We feel it is important to teach technique and art vocabulary to strengthen our students’ skills as confident artists!

RIMOSA focuses on the building blocks of both art and science; curiosity, observation, experimentation, and communication. The mission of the Rhode Island Museum of Science and Art is to merge art and science creating innovative, interactive exhibits and programs that awaken curiosity, encourage experimentation, and improve understanding of the world around us.

Naturalistic surroundings are home to more than 150 animals including a Komodo dragon, as well as zebras, red pandas, African elephants, Masai giraffes, snow leopards, bears, anteaters, flamingoes, sloths, alligators and more!
Kids from two to 102 have the opportunity to feed giraffes and harbor seals, as well as an array of farmyard animals. For something slightly out of the ordinary, visit our new Explore and Soar area offering an exhilarating zip ride, a train excursion through the woodlands and camel rides.

Join the Ocean State Montessori School community for our annual Fall Open House, which kicks off admissions for the 2021-2022 school year. This year’s Fall Open House will be held virtually on Saturday, November 21st at 9am. Zoom registration is required for the interactive session which will give prospective families an opportunity to virtually tour the school, learn about the admissions process, discover the Montessori method and more!

This great playground within Roger Williams Park has so much to do and explore. There are several play structures, swings including two oversized swings. There is a candy land style rainbow road that kids love to run on, features designed for imaginative play, and monkey bars. In the unlikely event that the kids get bored with the playground there are endless other things to explore within the rest of the park.

The playground at Fragnoli Park has a play structure with a bridge and small slides, a sand box, water park area, and lots of swings. There is ample seating and nearby there is a batting cage and baseball field.

This cute neighborhood playground features many plastic toys for kids to play with and is ideal for young children. There are picnic tables and some open grassy areas for children to play. There is some shade.

This playground has some larger play structures with slides. There are also monkey bars and various pieces of equipment to climb on. It is in the middle of Lippitt Park, so while it is not fenced there is ample grass around it. There are several benches.
The Hope Street Farmers Market is a farmer-run cooperative created and managed by many of the best farmers and food artisans in Rhode Island. We sell fruits, vegetables, flowers, cheese, breads and pastries, pasture-raised meats, seafood, poultry and eggs, and many other items that we grow, make or raise ourselves. Come join us every Saturday morning from 9 to 1:00 and Wednesday afternoons from 3:00 to 6:00. This playground is part of the Norman Olson Park and has a swings as well as a medium sized play structure with a slide and climbing elements. There is little shade, so pack sunscreen.

With tons to do, this playground will not disappoint. There are swings, slides, toy climbing walls, a rocking balance beam, as well as the expected play structures and swings.

- Beautiful, secure area with creative playground for kids. This area is gated, the area is entirely fenced making it a secure area for tots to run. The many different structures/boats/slides/seesaws/spinny chair things and balance beams make this playground tops in my book. Lots of benches/sidewalks trees on the edges for shade. It abuts a gated basketball court as well!
